Bay Mills Indian Community received two very special gifts over Pow Wow weekend - the Gnoozhekaaning Eagle Staff and the Bay Mills Ash Basket. Both of these gifts are centered around the idea of community, and the intergenerational teachings between elder, adult, and child for our Tribal Nation.

Please join us in leaving flowers and seemaa or tobacco for these souls at the Old Burial Ground across from Hank’s Pond on West Lakeshore Drive, and chi miigwetch to Jazlyn Walden Parker and Paula Jean Carrick for their kind and thoughtful hearts.
